Otto Waalkes, one of Germany's most famous comedians, was born in Emden. The people of Emden seem to be so proud of the fact that they have dedicated a special museum to the actor - Dat Otto Huus.




















Otto Waalkes became extremely popular in the 1970's and 1980's in Germany with numerous shows, movies and books. His trademark is the Ottifants, elephant-like comic characters which Otto designed himself. The Ottifants are even featured on the facade of Dat Otto Huus in Emden.

Dat Otto Huus is located in the center of Emden, just across the Emder Rathaus.
